Indian River County seeking to collect $8.1 million in unpaid taxes
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Owners of the controversial Gifford Gardens apartment complex, which is expected to be demolished next week, won’t be able to escape the county property taxes just because the six buildings will be gone, Deputy County Attorney Bill DeBraal said Friday.
