nomadicsamuel Jaipur (Rajasthani: ???? Hindi: ?????) (Urdu: ?? ???) [?d??e?.p??r]( listen)), also popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, the city today has a population of more than 3.5 million. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the semi-desert lands of Rajasthan. The city which once had been the capital of the royalty now is the capital city of Rajasthan. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal families. At present, Jaipur is a major business centre with all requisites of a metropolitan city. The city is remarkable among pre-modern Indian cities for the width and regularity of its streets which are laid out into six sectors separated by broad streets 111 ft (34 m) wide. The urban quarters are further divided by networks of gridded streets. Five quarters wrap around the east, south, and west sides of a central palace quarter, with a sixth quarter immediately to the east. The Palace quarter encloses a sprawling palace complex, (Hawa Mahal), formal gardens, and a small lake. Nahargarh Fort, which was the residence of the King Sawai Jai Singh II, crowns the hill in the northwest corner of the old city. The observatory, Jantar Mantar, is one of the World Heritage Sites.[1] Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in Rajasthan and India. Jaipur is the largest city in

saudi arabia minister said that there is 7,000,000,000,000 barrel of oil around the world?

FROM THE CURRENT SURVEY THERE IS ABOUT 1,000,000,000,000 BARREL OF OIL IN OIL PRODUCING NATIONS.

WHEN YOU COMPARE 7,000,000,000,000 AND 1,00,000,000,000 THEN THERE IS A GAP OF 6,000,000,000,000 BARREL OFF OIL ?

WHERE IS THIS 6 TRILLION BARREL OF OIL LOCATED?

OILMEN ARE PULLING HAIRS TO FIND THE LOCATION.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS LOCATED?

THE WISE GUY WHO FIND IT WILL BE A BILLIONAIRE OVERNIGHT.

LET US DO SOME RESEARCH?

WHERE DO YOU FIND OIL ON YOUR BODY?

WE NORMALLY PUT OIL ON OUR HEAD.

THIS IS TO KEEP OUR HAIR DISCIPLINE OR IT BECOME RAWDY PIPER PIT FROM SCOTLAND.

WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT WORLD MAP YOU WILL DISCOVERED THAT NORTH POLE IS THE HEAD OF THE GLOBE.

HENCE, THOSE 6,000,000,000,000 BARREL OF OIL COULD BE IN NORTH POLE.

THIS IS A WILD GUEST.

BUT ANYWAY WAY IF THERE IS SMOKE THEN THERE IS FIRE?

USING THIS AS A GUIDELINE WE CAN DISCOVER WHERE OIL IS HIDING FROM US.

IF THERE IS OIL THEN THERE IS WATER.

OIL NORMALLY FLOAT ON WATER.

UNDERGROUND HEAT CANNOT ESCAPE BECAUSE IT IS COVERED WITH OIL ABOVE THE WATER.

HENCE, HOTSPRINT TAKE PLACE.

ANOTHER CLUE IS FROM THE BIBLE?

The book examines the map of the tribes of Israel, to discover the location of the oil. While Genesis talks about the “blessings of the deep” for the sons of Joseph or the tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim, another scripture in Deuteronomy says the tribe of Asher will “… dip his foot in oil.”

20. “Asher’s produce is rich, and he shall furnish dainties for kings.

ONCE UPON A TIME, ASHER TRIBE LIVE IN WESTASIA.

THIS MEAN IF WE PROGRESS TOWARD EASTASIA THEN INDIA HAS ALL THE 6 TRILLION BARREL OF OIL BURRIED UNDER ITS LAND.

BY USING THE STARS IN THE UNIVERSE WE COULD DISCOVERED IT PRECISED LOCATED.

ON A SECOND THOUGHT IT COULD BE IN THE INDIAN OCEAN.

IF THAT IS THE CASE THEN THE AMERICAN MILITARY BASE IN DIAGO GACIA IS WORTH TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THE 10 LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL ACTUALLY LIVE IN NORTHERN INDIA.

THIS MEAN ASHER TRIBE LIVE IN NORTHERN INDIA.

MY RESEARACH SOME YEARS AGO PROVE A POINT THAT ASHER TRIBE ACTUALLY LIVE IN MAHARASHTRA A STATE OF INDIA.

BOMBAY IS THE CAPITAL OF MAHARASHTRAS.

THE NEW NAME FOR BOMBAY IS MUMBAI.

ANYWAY, EZIKIEL WHEEL OF GOD WITH HUMAN FACE NORMALLY VISIT BOMBAY BY FAITH.

IT IS A MYSTERY THAT INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG CARRY A PICTURE OF A WHEEL?

IN MORDEN TERM IT MEAN THAT TRANSPORT NEED OIL.

THERE COULD BE 6,000,000,000,000 BARREL OF OIL BURRIED IN BOMBAY, MAHARASHTRAS, INDIA.

THIS 6 TRILLION BARREL OIL IS ENOUGHT FOR 1,000 YEARS OF PEACE.

WHAT GLITTER LIKE GOLD…THE 1,2000,000,000 INDIANS OF SOUTH ASIA.

INDIAN WOMEN LOVE TO WEAR GOLD OVER THEIR BODIES?

THERE ARE ABOUT 240,000,000 TO 360,000,000 ASSYRIAN JEWS LIVING IN INDIA.

THEY ALL EAT UNLEAVENED BREAD WITHOUT YEAST.

IN THE SAME WAY SIRIUS THE STAR WARN EGYPTIAN THE FLOODING OF THE NILE WITH PRECISE MONTH OF THE YEAR.

OVER TO YOU ROGER…10-4 OUT.

Adhan-An Amazing Discovery..................!!!?

Azan : An incredible medium for the proclamation of Tawheed of the Almighty ALLAH ta’ala & Risalat of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the sound of which echoes around the globe. Amazing though it sounds, but fortunately for the Muslims of the world, it is an established fact.
Have a look at a map of the world & you will find Indonesia [a Muslim country] right on the eastern side of the earth’s central land mass. Indonesia consists of many numerous islands, the principle ones being Java, Sumatra, Borneo & Celebes, all of which are well known. It is the largest Muslim country in the world with 180 million inhabitants.
As soon as dawn breaks on the eastern island of Celebes, at approximately 5.30 am local time, Fajr Azan begins.Thousands of Mu’azzins in eastern Indonesia commence proclaiming the Tawheed [Oneness] of the Almighty, Omnipotent and Omniscient ALLAH ta’ala and Risalat [Universal Apostleship] of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The process then continues & advances towards the western islands of Indonesia. The time difference between the eastern & western islands of Indonesia in one & a half hrs. Hence, one & a half hrs after the echoes has been completed in Celebes, it echoes in Jakarta & Java island. Sumatra then follows suit & before this auspicious process of calling Azan ends in Indonesia, it has already begun in Malaysia. Burma is then next in line, & within an hr of its commencement in Jakarta, it reaches Dacca, the capital of Bangladesh. No sooner the calling of Azan ends in Bangladesh, it has already prevailed in western India, from Calcutta to Luknow. It then advances towards to Bombay & the environment of entire India resounds with this glorious proclamation.
Srinagar & Sialkot [a city in north Pakistan] have the same timing for Azan. The difference between Sialkot, Kota, Karachi & Gowadar [a city in Baluchistan, a province of Pakistan] is forty minutes, & within this time, Fajr Azan is heard throughout Pakistan. Before it ends in Pakistan, it has already begun in Afghanistan and Muscat. The time difference between Muscat & Baghdad is one hour. Azan resounds during this one hour in the environments of Hijaz-e-Muquaddas, Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait & Iraq.
The time difference between Baghdad & Alexandra in Egypt is again one hour. Azan continues to resound in Syria, Jordan Saudi Arabia, Somalia & Sudan during this hour. Alexandria & Istanbul [the principal city of Turkey] are situated on the same geographical longitude. The time difference between eastern & western Turkey in one & half hours, & during this time it is echoed with the call to prayer. Alexandra & Tripoli [the capital of Libya] are located at an hour’s difference from one another. It continues into Algiers, Tunis, Rabat & Marrakech. The process of calling Azan thus continues throughout the whole of Africa.
There4 the proclamation of the Oneness of ALLAH ta’ala and the Apostleship of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that had begun in the eastern islands of Indonesia reaches the eastern shores of the Atlantic ocean after 9 hrs. Prior to the Azan reaching the shores of the Atlantic, the process of Zuhr Azan has already commenced in eastern Indonesia, & before it reaches Dacca, Asr Azan has started. This has hardly reached Jakarta, one & a half hrs later, then the time for Maghrib becomes due & no sooner has Mahgrib time reached Sumatra, then the time for Isha Azan has commenced in Celebes! When the Mu’azzins of Indonesia are calling out Fajr Azan, the Mu’azzins in Africa are calling out the Azan for Isha.
If we ponder over this phenomenon seriously, we can only conclude the amazing fact that thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of Mu’azzins around the world are always proclaiming the Oneness of Almighty ALLAH ta’ala and the Apostleship of the noble Prophet (SAW) Insha’ALLAH ta’ala, this universal & continuos calling of the Azan shall continue until the Day of Judgement. Ameen.
All praise be to ALLAH ta’ala. Taken from Riyadh ul Jannah [translated by Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad Bora].

I Did Not Know the Seriousness....?

of hunger in India – and I answered a question about hunger in India rather offhandedly/shallowly? I saw this today on BBC………..

Diet of mud and despair in Indian village By Chris Morris
BBC News, Ganne, Uttar Pradesh

Two children in Ganne
Children in Ganne have to eat dried mud and silica

“We live on a day-to-day basis,” Suraj says, as the faint sound of hammering echoes across the village. “What we earn is what we spend on our families in a day.”

In Ganne, just off the main road about an hour south of the city of Allahabad, this is a simple fact of life. It is home to members of a poor tribal community, who live in small huts clustered around a series of shallow quarries. Inside one of the huts sits a little girl called Poonam. She is three years old, and in the early stages of kidney failure.

Like many children in Ganne she has become used to eating bits of dried mud and silica, which she finds in the quarry. Tiny children chew on the mud simply because they are hungry – but it is making them ill. When reports first emerged of children eating mud here local officials delivered more food and warned the villagers not to speak to outsiders. But Poonam’s father, Bhulli, is close to despair.

What can we do? We eat the mud from the quarry when we feel hungry
Phulkari
Villager

“What can I say,” he shrugs. “We can’t afford to eat properly, so how can I afford to buy medicines for her?”

“I am really worried about my daughter, but I don’t know what to do next. The poor need the government’s help – if we had it, we wouldn’t be in such a desperate state.”

People like Bhulli and Suraj make their money filling lorries with bits of rock. It takes about eight hours for five men to fill one load. They carry the stones up from the quarry in plastic washing-up bowls balanced on their heads. One of the women in the village, Phulkari, approaches to tell us about her little boy.

“My son’s name is Suraj, and he’s started eating mud too,” she says. “What can we do? We eat the mud from the quarry when we feel hungry.”

“Where do we get the money?” she asks. “We usually eat food only once a day. Last night we went to bed without eating anything at all.”

Food protests

The World Bank estimates that one third of all the very poorest people in the world live in India, and stories like those from Ganne have now inspired a national Right To Food campaign.

Map

There have been protest rallies in the heart of Delhi, as the Indian parliament prepares to debate a new Food Security Bill. It will dictate how many people in the country get access to massively subsidised food grain.

There’s no doubt that India should be able to afford to feed its people. But the devil is in the detail.

“It’ll only cost the government about 1.2% of GDP to universalize a system of giving food for all, cheap food for all,” says Kavitha Srivastava, the national coordinator of the Right to Food campaign.

“They can do it, if they have the political will. It’s prioritising – where do you want to put the money?”

“We think it should go in building people’s nutrition levels. You can’t have a country which is weak, which is hungry, which is anaemic. How can you have a nation like this?”

Now the government seems to be prepared to accept a new way of defining poverty, which will increase the number of people below the poverty line by more than 100 million to about 372 million.

If you simply throw money at this problem…you’ll have to throw four times the amount to get the result you want. And the government of India can’t afford that.
Dr Kaushik Basu
Finance ministry economic advisor

If international poverty standards were used, the number would be much higher still – and some Indian economists believe it should be.

But whichever figure is used, the poverty line feels like a rather fictitious divide because feeding more than a billion people is a massive logistical exercise. Vast quantities of food provided by the state go missing every day because of corruption and theft.

“Food ought to be a right,” says Dr Kaushik Basu, the Chief Economic Advisor at India’s Ministry of Finance. “And I believe this is a movement in the correct direction.”

“But what worries me at times is that we’re being too glib and quick about the delivery mechanism.”

Official estimates are that right across the country 75% of subsidised grain does not make it to the intended target in villages like Ganne.

I intend to be more sensitive about these issues. I simply did not know about this.

How can we help Indian cities improve?

My family originates from India, and I was born in the US. i just returned from a 2 week trip there. had the chance to visit Delhi, and also the south- Kerala/Tamil Nadu. i loved visiting my family but could not help notice the pollution in the streets and in the air. Does anyone know of effective environmental groups we can support? From speaking with family/friends, the government officials are swayed by corruption (much more than they are here!) It’s so sad to see that so many beautiful places are littered by household waste and such. This is not only from a visual standpoint, but sanitation definitely affects health and well being of the growing population.

Does Iran have the "Right" to defend itself if it is attacked?

If Iran is attacked by another nation do they have the right to defend themselves and attack those who have attacked them?

Who then is the aggressor (in the wrong) and the defender (in the right).
Who then would YOU support?
Those in the wrong?
Or those in the right?

Nazi Germany “attacked” other countries, and they were in the “wrong”.
The U.K. and the U.S. (among other nations) defended them and were “in the right”.

Please, consider these very real possibilities.

First, if Israel thinks they can take on a nation of 85 million Iranians, they need to get off the drugs, booze, arrogance and punch-drunk Zionist-moron power trip. Israel cannot defeat Iran with conventional weapons. Iran is very close politically and economically to Russia and China, with each having huge financial interests at stake. The Bushear Nuclear Reactor was built by Russia, there are many Russian technicians there and have been all along. Any attack on that facility will kill Russians as well as Iranians. China has $400 billion in oil and gas business with Iran and has even built a new port at Gwadar.
Secondly, any attack by the US, possibly even if they are aiding and abetting an Israeli attack, could see a massive Iranian army cross the borders into Afghanistan, Baluchistan province of Pakistan and into Iraq. It could well make the US concept of ‘troop surge’ look impotent as our US troops are suddenly swarmed by millions of really angry, justifiably angry Iranians. They may well be joined by Russian, Indian and Chinese forces that already know that the US Global War on Terror lie is all about resource theft and control. That, ladies and gentlemen is what Iraq and Afghanistan, and even the new hostilities with Pakistan are really about.
If Americans have been displeased with the lies and deceit thus far emanating from the US and UK, and the dead and maimed number of US soldiers, they have not seen anything yet like the carnage that would come just from attacking Iran.

China has recently built and opened a port in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan and it is only 72 km from Iran. The intent is to get the Iranian oil to China through that port. It is also planned to run a pipeline from that port to China, a distance of only 2500 kilometers.
Look here:

http://i50.tinypic.com/2zrnblt.jpg

If you are map challenged, that pipeline is across Pakistan, the port is in the western part of Pakistan. Afghanistan is to the north, India to the right side of the graphic and Iran is on the left side of the graphic.

Look at that graphic real close: The US aims to bring a pipeline from north of Afghanistan, through Afghanistan and then through that part of Pakistan to the ocean. Get it?
If not, damn, learn to read a map! Your very existence relies on it.
Americans need to really think and start asking why China can get such deals done with a pen, contracts and money, and the US military strategy is a complete failure. Really think on that because the answer is not that hard to understand. Russia and India are getting such deals done too, while the USA Titanic continues to sink.

Those who “control” Obama and who also “controlled” Bush are trying to destroy the United States,…WAKE UP!
China is taking very clear steps that signal it will control its energy future for their own economy, rather than being controlled and manipulated from London, DC or Wall Street. Again, that is their lawful right to do so.
That is what the pissing match is all about and the US and UK are losing, checkmate, the damned game and lies are over.

Pens and contracts are burying the US and UK. Due to the lies the morons concocted to launch their greedy plan, the rest of the world is laughing while the Empire Masters sink in the pile of shit they alone created. The rest of the world has moved on, won, and did not fire one single shot.
This insanity will only stop America when you wake up, grow a set of balls and make it stop.

So come on People, are we not FREE? Are we the ones living in a dictatorship?

illegal immigrants...america IS illegal immigrants...? is: do you agree?:?

correct, if i’m wrong: this land belonged to the “Indians” well before it belonged to anyone calling themselves american. 1)the british (or english) brought their diseases and their foreign culture and tricked the indegenous people out of their land, & put up their flags and called it theirs. 2) the irish, italian, french and anyone else who wanted to come here, came by boat and created more commerce, more cities, and an economy. 3) blacks were packed on ships like lumber and brought here against their will. the slave trade put american economy (cotton, tobacco, etc) on the map. 4)in recent history hatians, cubans and mexicans have been crossing our borders looking for a better way of life for themselves and their families for years. they have been working for pennies on the $ doing jobs natural americans wouldn’t dare do and suddenly america wants to make it against the law! this isn’t even OUR land to begin with! america was built on the backs of FOREIGNERS! AMERICANS ARE FOREIGNERS!
“bronwen” is an idiot…he’s knows i’m right! i’m not saying that it’s legal for them to work for pennies on the dollar, and i’m not saying that it should be legal for EVERYBODY to come here, or that my view on American history is accurate (some of it is hazy, but i’m standing by my guns) i’m saying give them a break: atleast the ones that arent’ here to blow us up! i’m still pro-immigration.

Local Self Goivernance model for Indian cities 2

Residents of Kausambhi, Ghaziabad, UP are leading the nation by trying Local Self Governance Model in the cities of India. While Panchayat Raj system gives right for local governance to Villages of India, there is no such system for cities yet. Arvind Kejriwal, RTI crusader, is one of the resident of Kaushambi and part of the team leading the effort. It is an amazing effort as many residents personally came to Dharna , taking off from their work, to assert their rights to self-govern their area. After day-long Dharna and indifference by Commissioner and others, Police was called in the evening to throw us out. After intense parleys, written guarantees were given and Dharna was temporarily called off. It was decided to wait for action and reconvene if necessary.

Predictions for the future?

here is how I see it:

-we break our unconditional embargo with Cuba and relations between US and South America improve (with next few years)

-Kim Jong Il suffers fatal stroke in say, 8 years, and his successor will be slightly less insane and isolationalist. N. Korea will begin to cooperate with UN sanctions and slowly, relations between North and South Korea and Japan will get better.

-Iraq settles down in terms of insurgency in next year or two.

-Afghanistan becomes tough struggle for next 5 years but eventually Taliban and Al Qaida will be permanently diminished. US will have reclaimed some international credibility and respect and there will be a decrease in anti-americanism.

-Japan and China compete economically, but China has internal issues that tear it apart: difference in economies b/t poor, central china and the industrialized cities. Communist regime breaks in two, and is not as much of a world power as everyone predicts. Japan expands unchecked, i.e. China is less of a world player and economically controls half of the pacific. I say this in 10 to 15 years.

-Relations between Russia and United States becomes more strained over issues of Iran and on nuclear proliferation. (5-10 years)

-Iran covertly tries to develop nuclear (warhead) capabilities, not just civilian nuclear power. (go figure). in next few years.

- 5 or so years, Israel does what it did to Saddam and to Syria: precision air strike on nuclear facilities, i.e enriching, processing, etc. Iran’s nuclear program back to square 1. Iran vows revenge, and along with Russia condems Israel’s actions, as does UN and NATO. US also condemns Israel’s “rash” actions but still unconditionally supports Israel. Relations b/t Iran and Israel, and US and Russia strained.

-In next few years, global economic crisis returns to normal. I predict a second crisis in about 25-30 years.

-Pakistan helps Iran rebuild nuclear capabilities covertly. We figure this out through our intelligence agencies and impose sanctions to no avail. (8-15 years from now.)

-India also condemns Pakistan and Iran. Slowly, from 15 to 20/25 years from now, there is an emergence of two main powers (alliances.)
1. B/t US, Israel, UK, France (but so what about the French), India, and China (b/c of its economic interests in US).
2. Iran, Pakistan, Russia, and Japan, which gets its oil and resources from Russia.

Cuba has become a non issue, as has North Korea, which no longer is pursuing nuclear warheads.

We will end up having a smaller cold war that will last for about 15-20 years. Very scary time when it seems like Iran and Israel will commence nuclear exchange, and then Russia & US will follow suit.

Globe will at same time undergo a second economic crisis. Russia will be hit hard, and so will its trade partners, especially Japan. US will ride through and survive. The countries that survive economic crash will win the second cold war.

Russian Federation will dissolve into three or four separate states. Trying to not make the same mistake twice, NATO and UN will immediately step in and help protect against further nuclear proliferation. Efforts prove to be a success. Russia becomes far less powerful.

about 2040, Iranian president dies. Iran is still a threat, but a little bit more reasonable. However, without any real backing from Russia, whose power has greatly diminished, Iran will make a desperate move. Isolated with no real allies or supporters, Iran, if caught up in radical Islamic mindset like that of the Ayatollah, will try to drop their entire, though meager, nuclear arsenal on Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv. Israel will, before the detonations, retaliate by unloading their entire arsenal on Iran, wiping it off the map, practically. Syria and Egypt and many neighboring countries of Israel will invade Israel as of about 2075, and US will step in on their behalf. This will be Wold War III. US and Israel will fight off invaders, however, fallout and after effects of the Iranian nuke render much of Israel uninhabitable and there will be a mass exodus from Israel to the US, England, Australia, etc. Russia will then intervene against US for helping Israel and there will be an all out war between US and Russia. Much of this war will be fought in the air and in space, as throughout 21st century, I predict that space will be the new frontier for the military. Whoever has control of the immediate outer space will prevail. i predict this to be America and the russians will lose as they are already too weak That will be the last great war for a while and slowly, things will even out after that.

On a side note, By 2050, I predict climate change and environmental issues will be greatly reduced but not wholly cured by alternative energies.

Can someone edit my short summary of A King's Fifth? Just for grammatical errors?

AS ESTÉBAN DE SANDOVAL, a young cartographer, ventures out of Spain to present day Mexico in 1541, he couldn't have imagined the treasure waiting beneath a still lake along side an Indian settlement. Captain Blas de Mendoza, Estéban, musicians Roa, Lunes and Zuñiga, as well as Mendoza's thought to be loyal soldier, Torres, and Father Francisco, the army's priest, left their ship in the Mar Del Sur and boarded The San Pedro, their home until reaching the shores of New Spain. All with the desire for treasure, they sought out a guide to lead them from the coast to the Seven Cities in hope of finding gold. Zia, a young teenager with as much passion for maps as Estéban, would be this person.
As they approached the first city, much to their disappointment, no gold was found. Yet, after talking to many settlers, they learned a city twenty moons away had the treasure they wanted. Trusting this statement, they left on a dangerous journey through the Valley of Hearts, only to find nothing
protective Indians defending their settlement. Many were injured in a battle between the two groups, though they continued north, and much to their luck, approached a new settlement with gold nuggets and fine gold sand in a nearby river. They obtained the gold dust by illegally killing sheep belonging to the Indians, and placing their hides in the river. What seemed to be success soon changed into disaster when Torres stole the hides and left camp. Finally, a lake with a golden bottom gave the young explorers hope in returning home with their desired treasure. Captain Mendoza drained the lake, and bagged the gold. The others waited until he finally returned, in which they left for the River of Good Guidance.
Throughout their journey, the level of greed increased causing the explorers to go against the law, their religion, and their beliefs. Zia and Estéban's relationship built by their love of map making was lost when Zia realized Estéban had changed into a greedy man who focused so
solely on wealth instead of his passion.
Captain Mendoza died from a dog attack, and the group split into too leaving young Estéban in the Inferno alongside Father Francisco. The priest encouraged him to bury the gold where no one could ever find it, but Estéban continued with it. Shortly after entering the desert, Francisco died leaving Estéban alone. After his death, he decided to drop the gold in a deep spring, so no one including himself could retrieve it. After losing the gold, he realized how the greed taken over him and that Father Francisco had been right in wanting to lose the gold forever.
After returning to Vera Cruz, Estéban awaited trial for not submitting the Quinto Real, or royal fifth to the king of Spain, and is accused of the murder of Captain Blas de Mendoza, however he believes his trial is focused more on finding the gold than anything. He is found innocent to murder, with the help of Zia, yet faces 3 years of imprisonment for not giving his fifth to the king.
Only Zia preserves both her freedom from greed and friendship with Estéban.
