why srilanka is always present in india map?

  1. Because when showing a country on a map, you don't just show the landmass, but the water bodies belonging/close to it as well. And since the territorial waters of India and Sri Lanka are very close together, it always has to appear on an India map. What's more, it's impossible to cut out Sri Lanka from an Indian map because the map would turn out to be either irregular in shape or inaccurate.
