correct, if i’m wrong: this land belonged to the “Indians” well before it belonged to anyone calling themselves american. 1)the british (or english) brought their diseases and their foreign culture and tricked the indegenous people out of their land, & put up their flags and called it theirs. 2) the irish, italian, french and anyone else who wanted to come here, came by boat and created more commerce, more cities, and an economy. 3) blacks were packed on ships like lumber and brought here against their will. the slave trade put american economy (cotton, tobacco, etc) on the map. 4)in recent history hatians, cubans and mexicans have been crossing our borders looking for a better way of life for themselves and their families for years. they have been working for pennies on the $ doing jobs natural americans wouldn’t dare do and suddenly america wants to make it against the law! this isn’t even OUR land to begin with! america was built on the backs of FOREIGNERS! AMERICANS ARE FOREIGNERS!
“bronwen” is an idiot…he’s knows i’m right! i’m not saying that it’s legal for them to work for pennies on the dollar, and i’m not saying that it should be legal for EVERYBODY to come here, or that my view on American history is accurate (some of it is hazy, but i’m standing by my guns) i’m saying give them a break: atleast the ones that arent’ here to blow us up! i’m still pro-immigration.
